Eliot is seeking a House Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our Juvenile Justice residential program serving court-involved youth ages 13 to 21. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and residential care, with strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee kitchen operations, including weekly menu planning, preparation of meals, and inventory management
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Coordinate food orders, manage supplier relationships, and monitor budget adherence
- Ensure all certifications and documentation (menus, invoices, allergy lists, etc.) are up to date and properly maintained
- Oversee facility upkeep, supply inventory, and vehicle maintenance (including mileage logs and monthly safety checklists)
- Ensure program records, reports, and audits are accurate and compliant with agency policy
- Maintain training compliance (CPR, First Aid, CPI, Suicide Prevention, etc.) for self and staff
- Ensure compliance with health, fire, and building inspections and all ECHS policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least three years of related experience; residential or youth service background preferred
- Two years of experience in a food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and USDA nutrition standards
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be at least 21 years old
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Annual Salary
$50,000 - $50,000 USD
