Eliot is seeking a driven Speech and Language Pathologist to join our Early Intervention (EI) division. Eliot's Early Intervention Program (EI) supports children from birth to three years of age with developmental delays or disabilities in the Everett, Malden, and Medford area. Our multidisciplinary team delivers community-based therapeutic interventions using a coaching model with parents and caregivers.
As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will use a hands-on, family-focused approach to services that strives to increase parents’ understanding of their child’s strengths & needs, & supports parents in learning how to foster their child’s growth & development.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies, screens, and evaluates performance of children in the areas of interpersonal communication, speech production, receptive and expressive language, cognitive bases of language acquisition and augmentative communication modes
- Plans and implements therapeutic programs for children with communication disorders
- Provides transdisciplinary services to families and children enrolled in the Early Intervention Program
- Develops and ensures follow up to treatment goals in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) in the home
- Provides assessment/reports, IFSP’s, progress notes, and insurance verification reports within established timelines
Qualifications:
- Requires an Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or related field
- Licensure from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (SLP) preferred
- Experience working with infant and early childhood population
- Valid Massachusetts Drivers License
- Bilingual candidates fluent in a needed language may be eligible for a 6% salary increase (Portuguese, Haitian Creole)
Compensation:
- Masters - $60,000.00 annually
- Licensed - $65,000.00 annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
