Safety and Compliance Manager

JOB SUMMARY

This role directly oversees the Safety and Compliance Program across the entire network of offices.  The individual manages all office-level Safety Officers and support-level Safety and Compliance Specialists. The individual is responsible for ensuring Elite Dental Partners (EDP) has an industry-leading Safety and Compliance Program and that the Program is uniformly implemented.  He/she collaborates with stakeholders and facilitates all relevant Program communication throughout EDP.  The individual is driven to constantly evaluate and evolve the Program to ensure every team member and patient is safe while in our facilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure EDP’s Safety and Compliance Program is current
  • Regularly review EDP’s Safety and Compliance Manual; amend as required
  • Be aware of and able to quickly implement changes to the Program across the network as needed
  • Maintain accountability throughout network that Program is actively followed
  • Use tracking tools to evaluate ongoing results of Program and implement new strategies to drive continuous improvement
  • Provide regular and timely office-level support to ensure Program is efficacious
  • Work and create periodic Safety and Compliance reports to the Board of Directors
  • Conducts regularly scheduled training meetings

 

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Explore and evaluate alternate methods for achieving safety and compliance
  • Run cost/benefit analyses of alternatives to current Program
  • Aid and assist Clinical Leadership Team; facilitate meetings; take meeting minutes
  • Accept other responsibilities as assigned

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors of business or relevant degree and 5 years’ experience in the dental industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Healthcare/dental safety and compliance experience
  • In-depth OSHA, HIPAA, other relevant regulatory knowledge
  • Leadership/management experience


QUALIFICATIONS

  • OSHA 30 and/or CSP certificate
  • OSAP-DALE program completion

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 50% travel to offices throughout the network
  • Reaching, bending, kneeling and walking through offices
  • Dental equipment maintenance
  • Minor lifting and moving objects

Salaried Rate

$80,000 - $85,000 USD
