Canvassing Sales Manager

As we expand our footprint in the Los Angeles market, we’re seeking a tenured Canvassing Manager to build and lead a high-performance outbound sales department from the ground up.
Position Summary
We’re looking for a motivated, experienced canvassing professional who knows how to drive results through strategic door-knocking and grassroots lead generation. This leader will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing a team of canvassers, as well as overseeing all lead generation efforts at our Lowe’s retail locations. This is a key leadership role with direct accountability for hitting lead volume, conversion rate, and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the Department: Develop and implement the canvassing department from scratch—including SOPs, team structure, and performance KPIs.
- Recruitment & Training: Source, interview, hire, and train a high-performing team of canvassers and lead generators.
- Field Operations: Lead by example in the field, knocking doors, setting appointments, and coaching reps in real time.
- Performance Management: Monitor daily/weekly metrics, set targets, and hold team members accountable for productivity and results.
- Lowe’s Booths Oversight: Manage staffing, operations, and performance of lead generation booths inside and outside of Lowe’s retail stores.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on goals and messaging.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain compliance with local ordinances and internal standards. Provide regular reporting on lead volume, appointments, conversion rates, and team performance.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in door-to-door canvassing or face-to-face lead generation (home services or solar industry strongly preferred)
- 2+ years of management experience building or leading canvassing/field teams
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding lead gen and revenue KPIs
- Highly organized with strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with CRM tools, tracking KPIs, and performance dashboards
- Must be able to work evenings/weekends when necessary
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
