Data Engineer

Experience: at least 5 years relevant experience 

Job Mode: Contract

Work Mode: Hybrid | 3x onsite per week in BGC 

                                                                                                                                            

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Support

• Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of data pipeline issues across SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure Synapse.
• Respond to market-raised support tickets and operational requests in a timely manner.
• Execute routine data checks, validation tasks, and scheduled operational activities.

Development & Maintenance

• Work on SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and minor optimization tasks.
• Assist in SSIS package maintenance, debugging, and enhancements.
• Participate in development tasks related to Azure Data Factory pipelines and mappings.
• Support updates to Azure Storage structures, file validations, and data housekeeping tasks.
• Python coding

Cloud Platform Operations

• Perform basic administrative tasks in Azure Synapse workspace (monitoring, pipeline checks, SQL pool usage).
• Monitor and troubleshoot Azure Data Factory pipeline executions and triggers.

• Provide support in storage operations such as file movements, folder setup, and access checks.
