This is a critical commercial leadership role with ownership of the full global demand engine, including account-based marketing (ABM), integrated global campaigns, field and event marketing, partner marketing, customer marketing, and the complete top-to-mid funnel motion across segments and geographies.

Operating as a true revenue partner to Sales, the VP of Revenue Marketing will share accountability for pipeline targets and ensure Marketing is focused not simply on generating leads, but on creating the right conversations with the right accounts at the right time.

The successful candidate will bring a highly commercial, data-driven approach to marketing, combining strategic leadership with the ability to build a scalable demand engine that delivers measurable pipeline and revenue impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Energy Exemplar’s global marketing pipeline creation target, with clear accountability for marketing-sourced and influenced pipeline, new logo acquisition, and contribution to closed-won revenue.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to establish shared pipeline targets, priority accounts, market opportunities, and go-to-market plans.
  • Build and execute a global revenue marketing strategy that drives sustainable pipeline growth across key segments, regions, and customer groups.
  • Own and scale Energy Exemplar’s global Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy, with a particular focus on the company’s highest-value strategic accounts.
  • Develop targeted ABM programs that engage key decision-makers and buying committees, create new opportunities, and accelerate existing pipeline.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated global campaigns across digital, content, ABM, events, field marketing, partners, and customer marketing.
  • Own the global field and event marketing strategy, ensuring investment is directly connected to target accounts, pipeline creation, and revenue outcomes.
  • Oversee Energy Exemplar’s flagship Xcelerate and Xplore events, with clear measurement of engagement, pipeline generated, opportunity progression, and closed-won revenue.
  • Build a scalable partner marketing strategy in collaboration with Partnerships and Sales to generate partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline.
  • Develop a unified customer marketing strategy that increases advocacy, referrals, cross-sell and expansion opportunities across Energy Exemplar’s customer base.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales to identify opportunities to engage existing customers and turn customer relationships into measurable commercial growth.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to establish clear funnel targets and performance metrics across the Marketing organisation, including pipeline creation, conversion, velocity, account engagement, campaign ROI, and revenue contribution.
  • Provide clear and consistent reporting on Marketing’s pipeline and revenue contribution to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
  • Own and effectively manage the Revenue Marketing budget, prioritising investment based on measurable commercial impact and return.
  • Establish clear goals, accountability, operating rhythms, and performance expectations across the team, creating a culture focused on commercial outcomes and continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in demand generation, revenue marketing, growth marketing, or a related discipline within enterprise B2B SaaS, including at least 2 years operating at VP level or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering against significant pipeline targets, with clear examples of marketing’s measurable contribution to pipeline creation, new logo acquisition, and closed-won revenue.
  • Deep expertise in Account-Based Marketing (ABM), with experience building and scaling successful ABM programs for strategic enterprise accounts and complex buying committees.
  • Strong understanding of complex, long-cycle enterprise sales environments and how Marketing can create, influence, and accelerate opportunities throughout the buying journey.
  • Demonstrated success building and executing integrated global demand generation strategies across campaigns, digital, content, events, field marketing, partner marketing, and customer marketing.
  • Proven experience working in close partnership with senior Sales leadership, establishing shared pipeline goals, account priorities, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to use pipeline metrics, attribution data, funnel analytics, conversion rates, and ROI to make informed investment decisions.
  • Experience establishing robust marketing attribution, pipeline reporting, forecasting, and performance frameworks, with the ability to communicate results effectively to executive and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing, globally distributed marketing teams across multiple regions and disciplines.
  • Strong leadership capability with a track record of setting clear expectations, creating accountability, developing talent, and building commercially focused teams.
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets and allocating investment based on pipeline impact, revenue contribution, and measurable ROI.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate as a credible commercial partner across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Revenue Operations.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with execution, operating effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth global organisation.
  • Experience marketing to utilities, energy companies, power markets, or other highly technical enterprise buyers would be a significant advantage.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
