Are you a marketing and communications professional who wants to use your talents and writing skills to help mitigate climate change and reduce greenhouse gases? Do you love working with diverse teammates committed to the same goal? Energy Solutions seeks a Marketing & Communications Manager to join our Marketing Team, for a client-facing role on one of our largest programs. We are looking for a well-rounded communications professional, with a primary focus on developing and delivering effective messaging, and strength in translating technical content into clear, simple, and accessible language. You’ll develop stakeholder resources, support outreach and participation forums, and help drive successful program participation. You’ll primarily work on a statewide solar incentive program, communicating with our client, solar vendors, consumers, and others to help continue program growth and drive successful program participation. You’ll also contribute to efforts to enhance Energy Solutions brand awareness and recognition.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy and Planning
- Collaborate with Sr. Marketing Manager to develop annual marketing and communications strategy that effectively promotes the client program to engage existing program participants, acquire new participants, and inform stakeholders
- Collaborate with program team leads to understand program objectives and priorities to inform marketing and communications strategies and report program progress
- Develop marketing plan to execute to achieve objectives and priorities identified in the strategy
Communications
- Own the end-to-end program communications process—lead the strategic development and delivery of messaging (whether crafted by you or others) to ensure stakeholders and participants are informed and supported
- Develop and manage timely execution of a weekly communications and outreach calendar to inform program participants about important updates and program information
- Develop a communication channel strategy to ensure the effective dissemination of program information across multiple platforms to diverse audience segments, including email, direct mail, website, social media, and digital
- Deliver clear and effective messaging
- Bring a critical eye to written communications (whether crafted by you or others) to ensure that technical and regulatory information is communicated in a clear and understandable way that resonates with the target audience
- Engage with team members to research and develop communications content including announcements, collateral, press releases, case studies and customer testimonials, social media posts, webinars, training materials and other materials
Stakeholder Engagement
- Strategic and operational support for virtual and in-person events and outreach
Requirements & Capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, business administration, public relations or another relevant discipline
- 5-8 years of experience in marketing and communications or relevant field
- Strong writing skills, including ability to translate technical and regulatory language in clear and understandable messaging
- Exceptional communications skills including writing, editing, speaking and active listening
- Experience in and commitment to best writing and messaging practices for marketing and sales copy (consumer and business), social media, media relations, and more
- Excellent organization, project management, time management, goal setting, multitasking, and prioritization
- Drive, proactiveness, and enthusiasm to suggest and plan new solutions; a self-starter with problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments
- Strong experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with email platforms such as MailChimp and social media platforms
- Familiarity with digital marketing campaigns, tactics and measurement, a plus

Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $$85,000 - $115,000/Annually
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce
Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
