Senior Financial Analyst (Remote - US)

Energy Solutions is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The Sr. Analyst will work directly with the Manager of FP&A, the Senior Director of FP&A, and the Treasurer. This position will be responsible for providing financial insight into the business and be able to present risks, opportunities, and recommendations to business leaders.
This role will support the Manager of FP&A in planning, budgeting, and forecasting Energy Solutions financial activity. This role will be responsible for actively participating in month end close, building and maintaining project profitability models, and various ad hoc business requests. Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Supports the annual budget process and assists in the preparation of the monthly financial close.

Provide timely financial analysis and reporting related to the company’s revenue, business plans, and various other metrics used for reporting and decision making.

Collaboratively, work across departments to gather financial information and provide financial guidance and support.

Prepare summarized financial information and make recommendations to departments and senior management.

Assists the FP&A team on any cash, budget, forecasting, or profitability issues.

Respond and support any financial ad hoc requests and act as a financial thought partner.

Develop and maintain recurring financial reports and dashboards that make financial performance easy to understand for non-financial partners.

Support investment decisions, with forecasts of return on current and proposed options.

Seek to consistently improve processes to allow for controls and structure as the company experiences high growth.

Complete any other duties/ special projects assigned by the Manager of FP&A and Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasurer.

Advanced Excel experience including creating and improving financial models.

FP&A experience including understanding and modeling the three statement models.

Strong attention to detail including providing timely and accurate reporting to management.
Minimum Qualifications: (Quantifiable Skills i.e Years of experience)
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience including 3 years as a Financial Analyst.
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience with financial statement analysis, financial metrics and understanding basic GAAP accounting principles.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, problem solving, business acumen and enthusiasm.
- High attention to detail with excellent understanding of financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proven ability to collaborate across teams, functions and departments.
- Ability to work well with a team and also thrive independently.
Preferred Qualifications: (Non - Quantifiable Skills i.e Strong analytical and problem-solving skills)
- MBA is a plus
The salary range for this role is $100,000 – $130,000/Annually with a target range of $100,000 - $117,000 based on experience and qualifications
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
