We are currently seeking a motivated Environmental Intern to support our Ottawa, Ontario, Canada office with a summer PFAS project. This project/internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in real-world work while supporting academic and professional development.
As an intern, you will gain exposure to environmental engineering and environmental safety initiatives, working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world environmental challenges.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
- Assist with PFAS data collection, organization, and quality review.
- Analyze PFAS datasets to identify trends, impacts, and areas of concern.
- Develop visualizations (charts, maps, dashboards) to communicate PFAS occurrence and treatment performance.
- Support interpretation of PFAS data to inform remediation and management decisions.
- Research PFAS regulations, guidance, and emerging treatment approaches.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Data Science, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, GIS) preferred.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:

Interest in PFAS and emerging contaminants.

Familiarity with environmental datasets, mapping tools, or data analytics.
