Accounts Payable Specialist

EnSafe is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team in Memphis, TN.
The successful candidate must be willing to work onsite at the Memphis, TN, EnSafe Headquarters campus.
As an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be a detail-oriented, efficient in processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, supporting month-end activities, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of company obligations.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Verify invoice coding and approvals in accordance with company procedures.
- Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and other disbursements.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and payment information.
- Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding payment status.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
- Support audits by providing documentation and reports as requested.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in professional services, engineering, consulting, construction, or related industries.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software systems.
- Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements.
