About the Position: 

As the Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our mission, working closely with senior management and development staff colleagues to shape and execute our development strategies. Your role will involve leading comprehensive fundraising campaigns, innovating marketing strategies, and building strong relationships with donors and partners. You will play a key role in driving impactful results and ensuring the financial health of our organization.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and execute comprehensive fundraising campaigns, driving impactful results for our client organizations.
  • Innovate and execute dynamic marketing strategies to engage and inspire potential supporters, maximizing fundraising potential.
  • Champion identifies and cultivates funds from diverse donor pools, leveraging your expertise to secure vital financial resources.
  • Cultivate and nurture strategic relationships with industry leaders, society members, and funding partners, ensuring sustainable support for our causes.
  • Serve as a key liaison, fostering seamless communication with client managers to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
  • Spearheaded the development and oversight of clients' development budgets and ambitious fundraising targets, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.
  • Craft compelling proposals and grants, showcasing our mission and vision to secure crucial funding opportunities.
  • Work with the governing boards of client organizations and advisors to implement policy and operations.
  • Travel to client society meetings and occasional visits to potential donors.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of proven fundraising experience, with a strong track record in grant writing and securing substantial funds.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising within the healthcare or medical fields, with measurable revenue goals and metrics achievements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, adapt to new technologies and manage multiple stakeholders and tasks seamlessly.
  • Independent initiative and effective time management, with a knack for prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including confident public speaking abilities.
  • Knowledge of basic surgical/medical terminology and equipment is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel at least 4 times a year for client meetings and events.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. This range is an estimate, and the actual pay will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, and alignment with market data. The organization offers a generous benefits package that includes paid holidays, paid sick and vacation time, 401k including employer match, and medical and dental benefits. In addition, training with nonprofit and associate management experts to grow in this industry. This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles requiring travel at least 4 times a year.
