Here is how the Automation Supervisor role will impact our business:
The Automation Supervisor role can support up to 14 automation techs. The Automation Supervisor will help lead and manage efforts in commissioning of new dev sites and special projects within the production department. The role is critical to helping EQT develop new facilities with the newest cutting-edge technology to keep evolving into a modern/digital natural gas company. The Automation Supervisor along with their team will support the Production Department with projects or solving various technical issues such as programming, pad upgrades, instrumentation and control or any other electrical concerns.
The Automation Supervisor responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, and oversee repairs and troubleshooting
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- Set up and configure equipment for assembly, closing, and other processes
- Ensure systems operate efficiently
- Provide technical support to the Production Department and troubleshoot secondary equipment issues.
- Communicate with other departments about equipment status and conditions
- Ensure new and existing staff receive proper training by mentoring/developing technicians.
- Maintain records of materials and submit timecards
- Determine and evaluate employee performance standards
Required Experience and Skills:
- 6+ years of Automation, Instrumentation and control experience which demonstrates the ability to effectively manage budgets and maximize assets, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; previous supervisory experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED; A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is preferred
- Ability to lead field-based team and deliver results against project timelines and budgets
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, while also functioning as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in addition to other more customized production software packages.
- Highly skilled in various programming languages, along with PLC’s and RTU’s.
- Strong organizational skills and high level of comfort with administrative duties such as typing and filing, as well as compiling, reviewing and recording information
- Ability to analyze data where the objective is to either identify problems and issues OR supply information to others who will use it to develop recommendations and alternatives
