What you’ll be doing:

This is by no means a “behind-the-scenes" role, as your work will help the company serve patients daily in a multitude of ways:

The Patient Access Coordinator II position performs all the day-to-day functions of a PAC I, but has the additional tasks of managing more complex insurance situations, engaging in more complex patient/family education and troubleshooting. The PAC II acts as a resource for new hires and PAC I's.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Completes benefit checks, educating patients/families on their cost shares/policy, working closely with admissions teams to educate them on plan limitations/exclusions, marking patients financially viable or documenting what steps to take if not financially viable
  • Attends any meetings deemed necessary by PAC Supervisor/Manager or joining various projects

Must Haves:

  • High school diploma or GED- REQUIRED
  • 1+ years’ experience in insurance verification or financial counseling in a high-volume healthcare organization, preferred experience in behavioral health care- REQUIRED
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be an excellent, clear communicator both verbally and in writing and have a commitment to excellent customer service- REQUIRED
  • Self-aware, manages conflict or difficult patient situations well, ability to deescalate and escalated patient/family situation, customer focused, collaborative- REQUIRED

Bonus Qualities:

  • Associates degree
  • Situational adaptability, instills trust, action oriented and strong sense of urgency, manages ambiguity, resilient, ability to influence, optimizes work processes, quality decision making, solution-oriented

Location & Schedule:

This position is posted as remote; however, per company policy, candidates residing within a 35‑mile radius of ZIP code 80230 will be required to follow a hybrid schedule, even if they applied to the remote posting.
  • Remote: Mondays and Fridays
  • On-site in our Denver Office: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

 

 

The compensation range for this position is based upon candidate experience and market expectations. 

Colorado pay range

$20 - $24 USD
