About the role

As the Principal, Offline/ Audio Acquisition Marketing at Ethos, you will own and be accountable for all performance management, budget, and tools for the audio marketing program, inclusive of Radio, SiriusXM, Podcasts, and Streaming Audio. While also having the opportunity to support other emerging marketing initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own both strategy and execution to drive marketing performance in line with budget and goals.
  • Track performance on a weekly and monthly basis and make adjustments to improve target KPIs.
  • Partner with internal teams (e.g. Creative, Analytics, MarTech, Product, Finance) to effectively drive all aspects of the channels you manage.
  • Manage external agencies in executing media buys, negotiations, contracts, and reconciliations.
  • Regularly perform deep analysis on channel performance and implement optimization strategies.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by frequently presenting recommendations on new test expansion opportunities, and ways to scale operationally such as AI enabled systems.
  • Drive executive communications by presenting insights and forward-looking strategies in biweekly and quarterly meetings with senior leadership.
  • Own the strategy, execution, and tracking of all audio channels inclusive of Radio, SiriusXM, Podcasts, and Streaming Audio, to drive marketing performance in line with budget and goals.

  • Function as the expert across channels and stay up to date on industry/competitive trends and technologies, betas, and best practices

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven track record of success in-house at a high growth direct response B2C start-up. Fintech or Insuretech preferred.
  • A deep knowledge of the landscape across traditional & digital audio. Ideal candidate has experience with additional channels like: TV, OTT, Creators, Partnerships, Direct Mail, OOH.
  • Ability to work autonomously, learn quickly, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment (ideally, experienced in startup companies).
  • Executive presence and communication skills to influence senior leaders, drive cross-functional alignment, and build buy-in for high impact growth strategies
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience of direct response marketing experience with 3+ years managing offline performance marketing campaigns at a high growth company where user acquisition was critical to the company’s growth
  • Advanced MS Excel and ability to work effectively with AI tools (ie, Hex, Claude, Gemini)
  • Excited by the chance to both develop a marketing strategy and hands on optimization
  • Experience with adtech and data teams to prioritize your platform and measurement needs
  • Have a rigorous approach to testing, iterating, and implementing learnings

The US national base salary range for this full-time position is $127,000 - $223,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
