About the Role:
 
Are you interested in building a high-performance Agentic AI driven legal workflow system that supports our current and future scale of platforms? If so, we are looking for you to join our growing team in Palo Alto.
 
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer that will help develop the most secure, enterprise-grade software using and innovating the latest in Generative AI. The opportunity to tackle challenges in creating cloud-agnostic solutions, maintaining stringent security and compliance standards, and building scalable, resilient platforms for enterprise applications, data, AI, and search also exist while you will be able to routinely innovate on behalf of our customers, collaborating with the world's top legal and risk experts, as well as preeminent business, technology, AI professionals, and engineers. 
 
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about building world-class software at scale!
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. 
  • Architecture & Design: Define and implement robust software architectures, making strategic decisions to meet business objectives. 
  • Code Quality & Best Practices:Establish and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices within the development team. 
  • Mentorship & Team Development: Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and continuous learning. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in software development, with a track record of leading complex projects and engineering teams. 
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in distributed systems, cloud computing, backend architecture, and modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python). 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to tackle scalability, performance, and system design challenges in large-scale environments. 
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead teams, influence technical direction, and drive engineering excellence across the organization. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with working with Azure and AWS cloud.
  • Interest or background in legal tech or similar high precision AI application development.
  • Prior experience with early-stage AI startups.
  • Drive to tackle complex, novel problems.

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $230,000

The posted salary range is based on our research for companies of our stage and size while in compliance with California law. This is a base salary compensation range and we encourage those who are interested to apply and have an initial discussion.
