About the Role

We are looking for a Product Engineer to help build next-generation platforms that power agentic AI models for the legal industry. This is a high-ownership role for engineers who enjoy working across the stack, understanding customer problems deeply, and shipping intuitive, reliable products at speed.

You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI, scalable infrastructure, and legal innovation, building intelligent systems that streamline workflows, enhance legal research, and automate complex decision-making. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, AI engineers, and customers to take ideas from initial concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Product Ownership: Own the complete lifecycle of product features, from understanding user problems and shaping solutions to building, testing, launching, and iterating based on feedback.

Full-Stack Development: Build intuitive frontend experiences, reliable backend services, APIs, and data workflows that power AI-driven enterprise products.

Rapid Product Iteration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and customers to prototype quickly, validate assumptions, and ship meaningful improvements in short cycles.

AI-Native Product Development: Integrate generative AI models, agentic workflows, and retrieval systems into real-world legal use cases while ensuring reliability, explainability, and strong user experience.

Code Quality and Best Practices: Maintain high coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices across the development team.

System Ownership: Take full ownership of significant product modules and services, ensuring scalability, resilience, maintainability, and non-functional excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, designers, AI engineers, backend engineers, and customer-facing teams to align technical decisions with user and business outcomes.

Performance and Reliability: Identify and resolve bottlenecks across the application, improve response times, optimize user workflows, and ensure a seamless experience at enterprise scale.

Innovation and Development: Contribute to the evolution of the product and engineering stack by evaluating modern frameworks, development patterns, and emerging AI capabilities.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.

Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js. Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or similar languages.

Full-Stack Product Development: Experience building and shipping web applications end to end, including user interfaces, APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party integrations.

Product Mindset: Strong ability to understand user problems, make pragmatic technical trade-offs, and prioritize solutions that create measurable customer impact.

Architecture Fundamentals: Good understanding of client-side and server-side architecture principles, API design, database modeling, authentication, cloud deployment, and system reliability.

AI Product Exposure: Familiarity with generative AI models, LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, or agentic workflows is preferred. A strong interest in learning and building with AI is essential.

Tooling and Infrastructure Expertise: Familiarity with modern build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Vercel.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, diagnose complex issues, and deliver effective solutions.

Communication and Collaboration: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and product stakeholders.
