The Job at a Glance 

Reporting to the Associate Director, Merchants & Payments, you will own the relationship with our issuing bank and payment processing partners. On behalf of our clients, you will navigate the rules and standards of both the issuing bank and the payment network. You will ensure that all sponsor implementations are conducted consistent with the company’s policies, procedures, and to allow our carded benefit programs to launch successfully, and you will have primary accountability for managing this operation on a day-to-day basis. You will serve as a trusted thought partner to both our clients and internal stakeholders on matters related to program design, KYB/AML practices, funding account operations, reconcilation / settlement, collateral, marketing materials, fraud management, and dispute resolution, and many others. 

NOTE: This role will be leveled as either an Analyst or Manager based on candidates’ skills and experience. 

What You Will Do 

Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail and financial technology, no two days will look the sameTypical responsibilities of the role include:  

  • Own the day-to-day relationship between evermore and both our issuing bank and payment processing partners, acting as their primary point of contact for all matters. 
  • Manage external relationships with clients and vendor partners at an A+ level and maintain flawless execution of ongoing operational functions, including: 
  • KYB/AML Practices 
  • Funding Account Operations 
  • Network Reconciliation and Settlement 
  • Vendor / Issue Management 
  • Operations Escalations / Fraud Investigations 
  • Collateral Review 
  • Own critical pieces of implementation for new card programs, including: 
  • Conducting Know Your Business (KYB) / Due Diligence for new programs and ensuring Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance. 
  • Setting up funding accounts for our plan sponsors, and ensuring all necessary configurations and documentation are in place with our bank and processing partners 
  • Track funding account balances and coordinate timely reloads with the relevant internal and external partners 
  • Reviewing program collateral for compliance with bank requirements and ensuring final review & approval by our bank partners 
  • Obtaining final bank approval for program launch 
  • Own and maintain crisp process documentation for core card program management functions in alignment with compliance-driven policies, including: 
  • Know Your Business (KYB) Verification & Customer Due Diligence 
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance 
  • Regulatory Licensing and Reporting 
  • Maintain hyper-organized client documentation (collateral, regulatory forms, approvals, etc.). 
  • Establish strong relationships with Solutions, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Product, Engineering, Account Management, and other key business partners. Act as a liaison between these groups and ensure comprehensive and timely communication of projects to all relevant stakeholders. 
  • Gain a deep understanding of evermore’s existing tools and program management infrastructure, which will allow you to develop strategies to improve our program efficiency, drive the implementation of new solutions, and ensure updated processes are aligned with internal stakeholders and external partners. 

About You 

While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include: 

  • 3-5+ years of experience working in fintech, banking, finance, payments processing, or related field. Experience managing prepaid debit card programs is a plus. 
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly and execute with quality and autonomy within your first 1-2 months. 
  • Relentless pursuit of process efficiency without sacrificing quality. In the past you have been able to nearly “automate yourself out of a job” with the processes you built. 
  • Demonstrated experience owning positive and productive relationships with external partners/vendors, preferably in the banking, finance, or fintech space.  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver against deadlines with different teams; you thrive in shifting between writing process/procedure updates, managing day-to-day operational tasks, and pushing new program implementations to the next milestone.  
  • Self-starting builder who is results-oriented, can embrace ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-paced environment; you have built and run process playbooks and can maintain a sense of urgency with the ability to adjust to shifting priorities.  
  • Commitment to building a diverse culture that is highly collaborative, strives to set and achieve goals together, and embraces transparency, innovation, and accountability   
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar experience preferred. 


Other Requirements

  • Travel may be required from time to time as part of the role, for company events and business needs
  • evermore is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. evermore will provide a work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request
