About the role

As the Social Media Strategist, you will develop and execute social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engage our target audience, and support lead generation efforts. Working closely with the content, brand, demand generation and product marketing teams, you will create and manage content that aligns with our brand’s voice, values, and business objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Social Media Strategy: Create and implement a strategic social media strategy to build brand awareness, engage followers, and support demand generation.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Collaborate with the content team to create, curate, and publish engaging, high-quality, on-brand content that resonates with our audiences and showcases thought leadership. 
  • Provide direction on Paid and Boosted Content Performance Work closely with performance marketing to inform audience targeting, creative development, and post-boosting strategies. Use organic insights to inform paid decisions and improve ROI.
  • Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with followers, industry influencers, and partners by actively engaging in conversations, responding to comments, and participating in relevant social discussions.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track social media performance, generate insights, and regularly report on engagement, reach, and lead metrics. Use data to optimize campaigns, inform future content strategies and budget allocation.
  • Collaborate on Campaigns and Product Launches: Ensure strong integration between organic and paid social, as well as alignment with PR, demand generation, and internal communications. Work with cross-functional teams to create social content that supports product launches, brand campaigns, and key events.
  • Industry Research and Trend Analysis: Stay current with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices to ensure our brand remains innovative and competitive.
  • Social Listening & Trends: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and audience sentiment to inform strategy.
  • Executive & Employee Advocacy: Support leadership and employees in building their personal brands to amplify our company’s voice.
  • Experimentation and A/B Testing: Test and iterate on new formats, content types, and timing to identify and scale successful strategies. Iterate quickly based on performance and share learnings across the business.
  • Collaboration & Alignment Act as a connector across brand, content, comms, and demand gen to ensure social media is integrated into broader business strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Brand Management, Marketing or a related field. 

Essential Criteria: 

  • Experience: 3 years of experience leading social media strategy and proven experience in brand building via social media strategy.  
  • Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of social platforms, paid and boosted social strategies. Strong understanding of key channels such as LinkedIn and Meta. Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch)
  • Content Creation Skills: Ability to balance brand storytelling with product focused and performance-driven content. Proficiency in social content creation, including writing, visual asset development, and video production basics.
  • Analytical Skills: Data-driven mindset with a focus on analytics and continuous improvement. Strong ability to interpret social media metrics and analytics, with experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.
  • Project Management Skills: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a content calendar, budgets, meet deadlines, and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic Thinking and Creativity: A blend of creativity and strategic thinking, with the ability to craft content that engages a professional audience.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adjust and adapt social media strategies based on industry trends, platform updates, and shifting business needs.
  • Strong Collaboration Skills: Ability to work across brand, content, comms, and demand generation teams to achieve business goals
