About the Client  

The leading provider of vehicle lifecycle solutions, with headquarters in Chicago, enables the companies that build, insure, and replace vehicles to power the next generation of transportation. What You’ll Do

• Deliver best-in-industry models for detection of subrogation opportunities using the latest ML advancements and best software engineering practices
• Meet and collaborate with business stakeholders (customers, sales and product managers) to drive the development of new models and features based on
• Collaborate with data engineering and software engineering team to ensure a smooth flow of data across teams and APIs related to outbound subrogation
• Mentor junior ML engineers in the outbound subro team to form a high-performing team

What You Bring

•  Deep understanding of ML lifecycle: development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non- technical stakeholders
• Hands-on experience in experiment design and model valuation
• Expertise with ML system design, model deployment, and production ML systems
• Experience in engineering production-grade GenAI features with robust validation, sanity checks, and structured outputs to mitigate hallucination and business risk
• Proficiency with AWS stack related to ML (e.g. Sagemaker, Lambda, Stepfunctions, IAM)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and best practices (CICD, Test-Driven Development, Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience translating business objectives into technical roadmaps and deliverables
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities and timelines
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to have 

Experience in subrogation, claims processing, insurance or financial technology
