Position Summary:

Excel Sports Management is seeking a coordinator to support our current Hospitality clients. This person is passionate about events, creative ideation, developing concepts, and executing with excellence. This person is willing to roll their sleeves up to handle all tasks whether big/small or exciting/mundane. This person is coachable, willing to learn, flexible, and have a multi-faceted skillset. We expect the ideal candidate to be someone who is a self-starter with a can-do attitude who has willingness to go above and beyond.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day management of key clients’ hosting initiatives including strategy development, providing end-to-end hospitality solutions and event management
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Interact with clients and all appropriate agencies/properties to support hospitality and event initiatives
  • Develop ideas for engaging event branding, gifting activations, on-site experiences and interactive moments for guests
  • Maintain tracking tools and on-site materials: rooming lists, confirmation documents, food and beverage schedule, transportation manifest, etc.
  • Stay up to date on the latest event trends and hosting opportunities, providing the hospitality team with monthly updates
  • Support the client-vendor relationships and coordinate necessary deliverables on behalf of client
  • Support the creation of event briefs, recaps, event itineraries and staff plans
  • Prepare for client status calls including scheduling and preparing agendas or status documents
  • Provide on-site support of hospitality events
  • Provide budget management support including building and reconcile of budgets, along with providing client budget updates along each step of the process
  • Understand the businesses and industries of our clients and focus on creating the best opportunities for the brand and our business
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience planning and executing high-level corporate events and hospitality experiences, experience with an agency a plus
  • Experience working with a variety of vendor types: hotel, transportation, catering, production, etc.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day relationships with clients, agencies, and vendors

The pay range for this position is: $65,000 - $70,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law. 

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
