Backend Engineer (AI focused)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong hands-on experience building AI systems (RAG, Agentic RAG, tasks/workflows automation).

You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing reliable, scalable AI systems to handle complex tasks, with emphasis on monitoring, logging, alerting, testing, and performance optimization.

We're still early and in discovery mode — although we already manage thousands of properties — so your work, besides contributing to the current advanced BE and RAG system, will also include building proof of concepts, shipping them to production, and collaborating with the rest of the team to integrate your amazing solutions into the broader system.

About You:

• You are based in the ~EU zone (our tech team is distributed across Germany, Macedonia and Serbia + US, Colombia, Costa Rica and Argentina).
• You have experience working in small, fast-moving teams where initiative, urgency and ownership are critical.
• You have actively participated in architecting, building, and shipping AI systems to production using modern frameworks (we currently use LangChain/Smith/Graph - TS libraries).
• You understand and have experience with Error Analysis (Evals) and how to identify, formalize, prioritize and tackle related tasks.
• You have experience building scalable, near real-time systems.
• You are customer-focused, love solving real-customer problems, and believe in having fun while doing it.
• You enjoy occasional travel to meet and collaborate with the team in person.

Nice to have:

• Experience in the STR (short term rental) industry
