The Role 

Fanatics is in search of an International Tax Director for their growing department. This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing, fast paced business or for experienced international tax profession either coming out of a National CPA firm looking to make the transition from public to private or from another mutli-national company. 

What You’ll Do 

Compliance & Reporting 

  • Manage US international tax compliance including Forms 5471, 8858, and related filings 
  • Oversee calculations for GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, and associated credits and 163(j) limitations 
  • Coordinate Pillar II compliance and country-by-country reporting 
  • Assist with quarterly and annual ASC 740 international tax provision and forecast effective tax rates and cash taxes 
  • Assist with local filings to ensure compliance  

 

Planning & Strategy 

  • Identify, model, and execute strategic international tax planning opportunities, including evaluating tax consequences of business projects, operating strategies, and new market entry 
  • Develop and implement a tax-efficient cash repatriation strategy and support global cash management decisions 
  • Partner with finance, legal, supply chain, and business groups to ensure tax considerations are embedded in operational decisions and risks from business changes are proactively identified and mitigated 
  • Work closely with the broader tax organization to develop cohesive global tax structures that align planning and compliance across jurisdictions 

 

Transfer Pricing 

  • Collaborate with transfer pricing advisors on intercompany transaction strategies and ensure global TP compliance including studies, local files, and master file documentation where required 
  • Partner with accounting and finance to ensure transfer pricing is appropriately implemented and track accordingly 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a major in accounting, finance or tax from an accredited institution 
  • Ideal candidate will have 7+ years of relevant experience within US international tax matters in a National CPA firm or a Fortune 500 Company with a large international footprint. 
  • Strong quantitative skills and technical knowledge of US international taxation (e.g., subpart F, GILTI, FTC, FDII, BEAT). 
  • Experience in US and international tax compliance and income tax accounting, including exposure to ASC 740 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including experience communicating complex tax issues and requirements to people without a tax background 
  • Enthusiastic team player 

Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics' corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments.  

 

 

The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. Salary Range

$210,000 - $240,000 USD
