ROLE OVERVIEW 

We are building a top talent engineering team to support Fashion Nova’s next phase of growth. We have ambitious plans to build technology platforms that will help us scale the company significantly over the coming years.

We are looking for a self-driven DevOps Engineer to assist with supporting our fast-growing infrastructure primarily running on AWS and several other well-known tooling such as Jenkins, Sentry, Grafana, etcetera.

We are looking for an individual who can work with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and create project plans to deploy the infrastructure to multiple AWS environments with no code differences in the infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on AWS to support Fashion Nova’s digital platforms
  • Automation: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of resources
  • CI|CD Pipelines: Build, manage, and optimize CI|CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other tools to ensure efficient and error-free deployments
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Sentry to ensure system health and performance
  • Security: Collaborate with the security team to implement robust security practices, including code security checks with GitHub Security and SonarQube, and manage AWS security configurations
  • Scripting and Automation: Write and maintain scripts (BASH, PYTHON, RUBY) to automate routine tasks and processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of our software and systems. Provide support for infrastructure-related issues and incidents
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 3 plus years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on AWS and related technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AWS, GitHub, Terraform/CloudFormation, and monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus. Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ruby.
  • Security Knowledge: Understanding of code security practices and tools such as GitHub Security and SonarQube.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • English, additional language(s) an advantage
  • Schedule of this position:  Monday – Friday | Core business hours | Onsite
