Job Title: Motion Design Intern

Reports to: Director, Match Production and Fan Engagement
Position Summary:
The Motion Design Intern is a key position within the FC Cincinnati and TQL Stadium team. This position will be responsible for assisting in creation of animations at TQL Stadium. The role will work closely with the Motion Graphics Animator and match production to bring narratives to life through a wide range of brand guidelines, game highlights and other assets. The Motion Design Intern must have exceptionally strong communication, creative and organizational skills and be deadline-driven in execution. Creativity, strong attention to detail, dedication, hard work and passion for soccer are paramount to success in the position. A strong understanding and familiarity with key match presentation skills – organization, performance and live entertainment production skills – are necessary.
What You’ll Do:
- Conceptualize, design and create 2-D/3-D graphics and animation packages for in-stadium and LED presentations.
- Assist FC Cincinnati Match Production team with scoreboard asset creation.
- Update features and packages as necessary, to include but not limited to (Matchup, Next Game, Highlight graphics).
- Keep up with trends and latest ideas within the animation industry

Skill Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of 2D animation principles; familiarity with 3D animation (e.g., Cinema 4D) is a plus.
- A strong portfolio showcasing motion design and animation work.
- A passion for sports media and an interest in real-time graphics.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines.
- An ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of typography, color theory, and design principles.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Premiere Pro.
- An interest in live broadcasting or production workflows
- Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to learn new programs
- Strength in time management, administrative ability, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

- Currently pursuing or obtained bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Animation or related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to positively engage fans, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
- A strategic planner with the ability to execute at a high level to bring the plan to life.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with integration of multi-branded marketing and sponsorship environment.
- Ability to independently resolve issues and manage issues effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with superior attention to detail
- Computer skills necessary, knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel required.

Work Hours
In addition to normal business hours, weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required as schedule and project workload dictates. Travel, including international, may be required.
