Academy Goalkeeper Coach (U13 & U14)
Job Title: Academy Goalkeeper (GK) Coach - U13 through U14 + Discovery Program
Department: FCC Academy
Reports To: Director of Player Development (DPD), Director of Goalkeeping
Job Summary
As an Academy Goalkeeping Coach at FC Cincinnati, you are responsible for coaching and developing the FCC Academy U13, U14, and Discovery goalkeepers in alignment with the FCC Goalkeeper philosophy. You will be leading the daily training sessions, video sessions and monitor all aspects of the U13 and U14 Academy goalkeepers at MHTC while building out the goalkeeper IDPs. You will work closely with the FCC Lead Academy Goalkeeping Coach (U15 through U18) and assist all FCC goalkeeping coaches at the club. In addition, this role will include scouting & recruitment of incoming goalkeepers through the FCC Discovery program and into the FCC academy.
What You’ll Do:
- Design U13 and U14 Academy goalkeeper periodization and training plans based on the club’s goalkeeping curriculum
- Lead U13 and U14 Academy goalkeepers during all training sessions and games while documenting training sessions and individual development plans
- Oversee the FCC discovery goalkeeping program, bringing in the next generation of FCC goalkeepers
- Integrate goalkeeper development to align with all academy team functions
- Analyze training/game sessions and create video reviews for goalkeepers and coaches
- Work with Academy Head Coaches to create GK specific pre-game objectives
- Aid in goalkeeper scouting/recruitment through the Discovery Program, including planning and implementing goalkeeper ID events, clinics and camps as well as attending local and nationwide events
What You’ll Need:
- USSF C License preferred
- Goalkeeping License preferred
- 3+ years of youth goalkeeper coaching experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft office and MacOS
- Ability to travel to away games and annual events/showcases
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have reliable means of transportation to and from MHTC and all matches
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours including but not limited to nights, weekends and holidays as required by the FCC game schedule, special events, and projects
