About the Job:
FFE is seeking an early career Structural Engineer professional to support our growing Cincinnati-based team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and coordination of design documents for both new construction and renovation projects with a primary focus on healthcare and public sector buildings. You'll collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients throughout all phases of design and construction. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring technical accuracy, code compliance, and constructability while delivering elegant and efficient solutions to complex structural challenges.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Preparation of design details, drawings & technical specifications
- Performing field assessments and site investigation reports
- Code analysis
- Review of construction submittals and RFIs
- Participation in multi-disciplinary project teams

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with ‘Structural’ focus,
Masters Degree preferred. - EIT certificate, P.E. license or on path to obtaining Civil P.E. licensure with a focus in Structural. S.E. license would be a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience within the A&E industry or alternatively a completed Masters Degree and applicable Co-op experience
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Knowledge and understanding of building concepts and design codes, such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, etc.

FFE is committed to delivering competitive and equitable pay for our employees.
This position's compensation pay range is expected to be between $67,843 and $96,054/year, depending on multiple factors, including education, licensure, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business needs.
If hired, the position is “at-will. “ The company reserves the right to modify any component, plan, or program of the total rewards package at any time for any reason.
Work Environment
This position is performed in an office environment and potentially at a home office (with prior authorization from the supervisor); however, the individual is also required to travel to other locations for client meetings, project site visits, conferences, training, and other business-related events, and to the project site as needed.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; operate a vehicle; and talk and hear. Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 20 lbs.
