The Role
The TRES Finance Sales Engineer is a customer-facing pre-sales specialist responsible for positioning TRES Finance, a Fireblocks company, with finance, accounting, and operational stakeholders across regulated financial institutions and digital asset businesses.
This role sits at the intersection of finance operations, accounting workflows, and digital asset infrastructure. You will partner closely with TRES Finance Sales while remaining part of the broader Fireblocks Sales Engineering organization, ensuring consistent standards, enablement, and technical alignment.
Success in this role comes from establishing deep credibility with finance and accounting teams and translating complex digital asset activity into clear, defensible software value. You will be highly visible during customer evaluations, audits, and buying decisions—particularly as TRES Finance scales within Fireblocks’ global go-to-market motion.
What You’ll Do
Sales Engineering & Customer Engagement
- Lead discovery sessions with finance, accounting, and operations stakeholders to understand reconciliation, reporting, audit, and close requirements
- Position TRES Finance within customers’ existing accounting and financial operations environments
- Shape solution narratives that connect digital asset activity to accounting outcomes, controls, and reporting confidence
- Deliver high-quality product demonstrations tailored to controllers, heads of finance, and accounting operations teams
- Support proof-of-value activities and technical validation throughout the sales cycle
Accounting & Financial Operations Expertise
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of accounting workflows, including reconciliation, month-end close, audit preparation, and reporting cycles
- Understand what reports finance teams require, when they are needed, and how underlying data must be structured
- Engage confidently with accounting stakeholders using their language, frameworks, and priorities
- Apply practical understanding of how digital asset activity impacts accounting treatment, controls, and auditability
This fluency is foundational to credibility in the role and essential to positioning TRES Finance as software purpose-built for finance teams operating in digital asset environments.
Digital Asset & Platform Knowledge
- Maintain a strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, custody models, and transaction lifecycles
- Understand how custody and transaction platforms (including Fireblocks) generate data consumed by accounting systems
- Be conversant in DeFi concepts such as lending, staking, liquidity pools, and automated strategies, particularly as they relate to financial operations and reporting
- Translate complex technical activity into clear, finance-oriented narratives without oversimplification
RFx, Demos, and Pre-Sales Operations
- Coordinate and contribute to RFx responses, ensuring technical and functional accuracy
- Own demo environment setup, maintenance, and readiness in partnership with TRES Finance teams
- Ensure demonstrations reflect real-world accounting and operational scenarios
- Support Sales with structured, defensible responses to finance, risk, and audit-related questions
Enablement & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Enable Fireblocks Sales Engineers on TRES Finance capabilities, positioning, and common customer questions
- Act as a subject-matter expert for joint Fireblocks–TRES Finance opportunities
- Share field insights with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to continuously improve messaging and positioning
- Help ensure smooth handoffs between Fireblocks-led and TRES Finance–led sales motions
What You'll Bring
Experience
- Prior exposure to accounting operations, finance operations, or finance-adjacent roles strongly preferred
- Experience working with digital asset platforms, fintech infrastructure, or regulated financial services
- Familiarity with ERP systems, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting environments
- CPA or formal accounting certification is not required; practical experience working closely with finance and accounting teams is more important
- Nice to have some experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role

- Clear, structured communicator who can bridge technical and financial domains

For employees hired to work remotely from New York, or from our NYC HQ, Fireblocks is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.This range is specific to New York City, and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, and other business needs.
It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and each compensation decision is dependent on each individual case. A reasonable base salary range estimate for this position is $125,000 to $164,500. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a target bonus, a very competitive equity grant, and very generous benefits.
