
Branch Relationship Specialist
First National Bank of America is looking for a Branch Relationship Specialist - Business & Consumer Banking to join our East Lansing branch. The ideal candidate will be able to combine accuracy and follow-through with excellent customer service and sales skills. Candidates should be able to manage a dynamic workload while operating in a fast-paced environment. Courtesy, customer service, and tact are essential elements of the job. This role involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new business deposit growth through branch interactions, internal referrals, and external sales efforts
- Implement and support treasury management services across the full customer lifecycle
- Open, update, and maintain accurate customer accounts and profiles within the Jack Henry core system
- Prepare and deliver required reporting for business customers (daily, quarterly, and annual)
- Build relationships and generate low-cost deposits through local networking and community engagement
- Support branch operations by delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong team collaboration
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and bank procedures
- Maintain a dual focus in supporting business banking as well as consumer banking service & sales opportunities
- Manage branch lobby traffic and ensure effective lobby management and branch coverage
- Responsible for cash drawer operations and balancing, with a strong emphasis on daily focus for branch operational excellence
Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of business deposit account opening documentation and regulations.
- Previous outside sales or cross-selling experience required
- Detail oriented with outstanding written and spoken communication skills, including professional and timely follow-up
- Must have a working knowledge of full Microsoft Office suite
- Requires effective and courteous communication with customers and/or other employees using common telecommunications and computer equipment
- Ability to read, examine, and organize documents
