We are seeking a Senior Talent Partner to serve as a hands-on people partner and talent adviser at Flexe. This role is broad in scope with immense opportunity to partner with colleagues in HR Ops and Benefits to support Flexe’s next stage of evolution. Reporting to the VP of Legal and People, this role blends responsibilities of HR with Recruiting. Most of your time will be spent partnering with managers and your People Team colleagues to support employees across the full lifecycle ( i.e. onboarding, performance and coaching, employee relations, etc) while also leading full-cycle recruiting. This is a highly visible, execution-oriented role that requires strong judgment, comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities, and the ability to seamlessly switch between strategic thinking and tactical delivery.
Responsibilities
Sr. HR Generalist / HRBP (70%)
Employee Relations, Manager Coaching & Employee Support
- Own employee relations for the organization, serving as the primary point of contact for employee and manager concerns, performance issues, and workplace conflicts and exercising a high level of discretion and judgment in resolving complex people challenges.
- Lead and manage employee relations investigations end-to-end, including intake, fact-finding, documentation, and resolution, escalating as appropriate. Utilize and direct external investigator support if high profile or sensitive investigations arise.
- Coach managers on effective people leadership, including feedback, performance management, documentation, and navigating sensitive or complex situations.
- Provide thoughtful, consistent support to employees across the full employee lifecycle, whether directly supporting their needs or connecting them to internal or external resources as appropriate.
- Ensure accurate documentation, timely follow-up, and sound judgment in all employee relations and compliance-related matters, collaborating with internal and external legal counsel as appropriate.
People Program Support
- Partner closely with the HR Operations Manager peer to support core HR programs and processes, including onboarding and new hire orientation, offboarding, job changes, promotions, and employee data changes.
- Co-design and co-facilitate manager roundtables and other employee and manager learning programs with the intention of professional and skill development.
- Participate in the execution and continuous improvement of core HR processes, including quarterly promotion cycles, annual performance reviews, and other talent and recognition programs, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Support performance management and review processes by playing a lead role in manager and leader support, guidance, calibration sessions and communications, while partnering with People leadership and HR Operations on overall program execution.
- Support People Team in planning and executing various cultural and social programs and events that support the hybrid work experience for Seattle based employees and the remote experience for those outside of Seattle.
Sr. Recruiter (30%, will vary based on hiring needs)
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Own end-to-end recruiting for all roles across technical and non-technical functions, based on business needs. May recruit up to 5 roles simultaneously based on workload.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to define and document role requirements and appropriate leveling, talent profiles, and interview plans, ensuring alignment on what requirements are must haves and what profiles will be most successful at Flexe.
- Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, referrals, direct outreach, and other channels as needed, providing an exceptional candidate experience from first contact to final close out.
- Conduct candidate screens, coordinate and schedule interviews, and provide structured assessments and recommendations.
- Progress candidates through pipeline swiftly to ensure great talent is moved through stages efficiently and offers extended within established SLAs. Escalate concerns about meeting hiring commitments quickly and proactively surfacing suggested next steps.
- Partner with hiring manager to close candidate within established compensation framework.
- Maintain monthly and quarterly recruiting data and key metrics such as pipeline health, time-to-fill, candidate and hiring manager satisfaction surveys, and offer decline reasons (if applicable).
- Own recruiting SOPs and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Identify and implement improvements to recruiting processes, tools, and interview practices to support quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of progressive HR and Recruiting experience
- Minimum 3+ years recruiting technical (ex: engineers, data scientists, etc) and non-technical roles
- Minimum 3+ years as a Sr. HR Generalist/HRBP level or higher.
- Demonstrated experience operating in hybrid HR/Recruiting role
- Prior experience in a small Tech company or startup environment where you were required to wear multiple hats and prioritize workload in an ever changing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws.
- Proven ability to partner with and coach managers at multiple levels.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate sensitive situations independently.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort operating in ambiguity.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience supporting multi-state, hybrid and remote workforces, especially in Washington and California.
- Experience partnering directly with C-Suite for performance management and talent initiatives.
- Some group facilitation or training experience desired.
- Experience with Smartsheet, Greenhouse, and ADP preferred.

The salary range for this role is $123,250 to $173,200 depending, in part, on candidate location. Recruiting will confirm the specific range for the candidate location in the initial phone screen. All employees receive company equity as part of their compensation package.
