Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

We are looking for a QA Engineer to lead our testing initiatives. In this role you will work closely with product teams to ensure our software products meet the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include writing test plans, developing testing strategies, test automation, tool research and implementing best QA practices.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • You will be part of a self-organizing QA team and collaborate closely with product teams composed of Technical Product Owner, fullstack/frontend/backend application developers and QA Engineers. 
  • You will collaborate with Technical Product Owners, Software Architects to plan testing initiatives by analysis of requirements, technical specifications and design of test plan and test cases.
  • Implement test automation strategies for microservice architecture to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
  • Conduct different types of tests including automated end to end, API, contract, performance and manual tests.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation like test plans, test cases, test scripts. 
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing tools to enhance product quality.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support timely and high quality delivery of features for product releases in the context of a larger product development organization. 

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Degree and successful industry experience in either Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in test automation or similar position
  • Experience with building testing plans and strategies, writing test cases, triaging bugs.
  • Deep experience with manual and automated testing: exploratory testing, end to end testing, API testing, contract testing, performance testing and UI testing using example tools like Postman.
  • Experience with Python and Robot Framework.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) with a focus on Agile methodologies.
  • Good understanding of software systems architecture based on microservices.
  • Ability to maintain and document testing artifacts and reports.
  • Experience with CI/CD testing integration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand in detail product requirements and its functionality and willingness to get deep understanding of airline domain knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to share their testing expertise by conducting internal training sessions,  advice on best practices or new tools, identify areas for improvement etc.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Solid English skills.
