Flight Itinerary (About The Role)
We are looking for Software Engineers to join our Dynamic Pricing product team.
Our Dynamic Pricing product distributes ML-powered price points in real-time to airline price consumers. FLYR’s product ensures airlines are selling their products at the optimal price and driving maximum revenue uplift on their ticket sales. FLYR’s product provides next-gen capabilities that bring real-time data science to travel shopping searches. Our Dynamic Pricing product allows airlines to replace existing legacy systems that fail to deliver the dynamic and personalized pricing needed today. Our distribution product powers all channels - both existing distribution interfaces and new direct sales - to optimize the products and prices behind the consumer flight shopping experience.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)
- Break down feature work into smaller, manageable tasks.
- Follow and contribute to code review best practices, advocate for engineering excellence including performance, readability, and maintainability. This includes migrating to modern frameworks and adding any missing tests.
- Own the lifecycle of features from design through post-deployment monitoring.
- Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to incident reviews or retrospectives.
- Contribute to team planning and design discussions, consistently deliver high-quality, production-ready code.
- Troubleshoot software failures and participate in an on-call rotation if needed.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Demonstrate a desire to grow technical depth and breadth by being open to mentoring from senior engineers.
- Begin mentoring interns or newer engineers on specific areas of expertise.
What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)
- 1-3 years of Golang experience
- 1-2 years of Postgres experience
- 1-2 years of Redis experience
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Understand and apply basic software security principles (e.g., secure coding, handling secrets).
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (e.g., Datadog).
Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)
- Exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
