The role will be responsible for overseeing the Forbes Vetted video program, which encompasses premium video for YouTube and O&O channels as well as social video for Instagram and TikTok. You will be tasked with taking platform-appropriate video concepts from ideation to execution, then optimizing and tracking their performance to meet team goals. The ideal candidate is a seasoned producer and project manager with prior experience creating video content for a major media brand, preferably in the lifestyle or commerce space. This role reports to the Forbes Vetted Audience Development Director and will collaborate extensively with the Forbes video team.
This is a hybrid role that will require frequent travel to video shoots, which are primarily located in the NY/NJ area.

Responsibilities

  • Leading ideation for all Forbes Vetted video series and franchises across video channels (premium, O&O and social)
  • Guiding all video projects from initial concepting to scheduling and production to completion and distribution
  • Collaborating with Forbes Vetted editors and other staff to determine what on-site content can be brought to life via video
  • Working in partnership with the Forbes video team, project managing and overseeing execution for all Forbes Vetted video shoots, including creating production schedules and budgets, sourcing talent, developing scripts and attending shoots in the tri-state area to ensure they run smoothly
  • Overseeing the post-production process for all video content, including managing freelance video editors’ schedules against production and publication timelines, offering feedback on video cuts (seeking input from other relevant stakeholders as appropriate) and coordinating with art and design on development of any needed graphics
  • Tracking the success of video content through analytics, using data to brainstorm new video formats to engage and grow the Forbes Vetted audience
  • Filming and editing video projects as needed (primarily for social-first franchises and content for YouTube shorts, such as live event or product launch coverage, in-person product testing coverage and similar)

The ideal candidate

  • Is an established video professional with 4+ years of experience creating dynamic, high-quality and engaging premium video concepts of all lengths, for distribution on YouTube plus O&O and social channels
  • Is a highly organized and cross-functional collaborator with proven ability to autonomously manage complex, multi-step projects from start to finish
  • Is a creative storyteller who can independently develop concepts for on-brand, compelling and genuinely useful content to support the Forbes Vetted audience
  • Has specific experience at a media brand, agency or similar, with familiarity creating video content in the lifestyle, product recommendations or e-commerce space
  • Has a network of reliable and brand-appropriate talent at the ready that may be called upon to star in Forbes Vetted videos
  • Is familiar with creating social-first content using a smartphone to capture footage
  • Has experience with video editing software, such as the Adobe suite
  • Is eager to innovate and experiment to help grow the Forbes Vetted viewership
  • Thrives in a deadline-oriented environment with many moving parts

The annual base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000
