Senior Software Engineer, Product Offering Group
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Disputes team.
Disputes are critical for consumer protection, but they’re also exploited by fraudsters, putting merchants at risk. Our team is building intelligent, scalable systems to help businesses fight back — and protect revenue with minimal friction.
This domain comes with open technical and product challenges, as part of the team, you’ll help shape a new generation of the platform — building resilient systems while collaborating with product and analytics to drive business direction. You’ll take full ownership of the product experience, from how data flows into and through the system to how we surface clear, actionable insights through dashboards to our customers. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment, owning end-to-end solutions, and solving hard problems with real-world impact, we’d love to meet you!
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining complex backend systems using modern programming languages, preferably with Node.js and TypeScript experience.
- Passionate and experienced at overseeing a product’s entire lifecycle.
- Experienced designing and working with large-scale distributed systems.
- Strive to uphold top-notch software engineering practices such as high-quality code, thorough testing, and clear & comprehensive documentation.
- Promote Observability and Monitoring culture.
- Promote production, product, and growth mindsets.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AWS or other public clouds.
- Significant experience with various data stores and pipelines such as Kafka, Redis, ElasticSearch, and MySQL.
- Bonus — 2+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.
