Senior Engineering Manager, Customer Experience
About the role:
Forter is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6 Engineers, dedicated to building products around our core offering - Fraud Prevention. This role is instrumental in shaping the way businesses interact with Forter’s fraud prevention capabilities.
As the leader of this team within the Customer Experience (CX) Engineering group, you will drive the development of products that empower our customers to combat fraud efficiently, gain valuable insights and manage their daily operational needs. Your team will focus on delivering intuitive, high-impact solutions that help businesses understand, manage, and act on fraud insights with confidence.
Forter is committed to providing a unified platform that integrates fraud prevention with other key offerings, such as Payments, Identities, and Chargeback Recoveries. In this role, you will work closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to help our customers expand to Forter’s additional offerings - so to benefit from the entire Forter platform.

What you'll be doing:
- Lead and mentor a team of 6 talented software engineers, fostering a culture of delivery, collaboration, and excellence.
- Take our Fraud Prevention offering to a whole new level of UX, all while building analytical and operational flows that convey the Forter story.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, and executives to iteratively develop, improve, and release.
- Balance priorities between new feature development, stability, and system resilience.
- Act as an owner of mission-critical systems, leading technical vision and investment discussions in partnership with the product team.
- You’ll be technically engaged, with a willingness to dive into code reviews, architectural discussions, and occasional hands-on contributions when necessary to unblock the team or guide technical decisions
What you'll need:
- A relentless, get-things-done attitude individual. You love winning and exceeding goals.
- A savvy engineering manager - you’ve been leading a team of 4+ engineers, in the last 4 years.
- You’re an effective leader - your people know what is expected of them, you’re there for your people and you help them grow to their full potential.
- A full-stack engineer at heart, with 6+ years of experience
- You’re highly experienced with: NodeJS, React, various data stores such as: ElasticSearch / mySQL / Snowflake / Redis, AWS or other major cloud vendors and Event-driven architectures
- You have a strong background of working closely with product managers and product designers.
- You’re excellent at keeping your eyes on the ball and managing priorities - distractions and curveballs will always be there, and you will need to maintain healthy priorities with your product managers.
- You deal well with fuzziness - by methodologically clearing it.
- You’re a team player who knows how to harness and coordinate with his peers to get things done.
- Excellent communication skills in English
