Staff Full-Stack Engineer — Customer Experience

Israel - Tel Aviv

About the Role:

Forter is looking for an experienced and driven Staff Full-Stack Engineer to join our Customer Experience (CX) engineering group — the team behind the interfaces and systems our customers interact with every day.

This is a strategic, high-impact role reporting to the CX Engineering Group Manager. You’ll work at the crossroads of engineering, product, analytics, and business, helping shape the experiences that complement Forter’s fraud detection platform.

We’re looking for someone who wants to go beyond writing code — someone who actively drives technical direction, improves our stack for scalability, performance, cost, and developer experience, and pushes our group to engineering excellence in this new era of GenAI capabilities. While the role focuses primarily on the backend, it spans the full stack. In our stack you’ll find Node.js, React, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, SnowFlake and other Sql/noSql DBs.
If you're energized by solving complex problems, striving for engineering excellence, and bringing value all around — we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Drive technical strategy and architecture across the CX group. You'll proactively identify areas to improve scale, cost-efficiency, performance, and developer velocity — primarily in backend systems, but also across the stack.
  • Platformize our suite of experiences into a holistic journey - as Forter is the leading player in the trust in the digital space, our holistic experience becomes crucial. Take a central part in creating a platform experience for our users.
  • Leverage AI tools to boost velocity and value for users - be a significant contributor and driving force in the adoption and utilization of the various new AI tools out there
  • Make things happen. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to turn ambiguous ideas into actionable plans — and then guide teams to bring them to life.
  • Be the go-to technical leader for CX. You'll lead and coordinate cross-org initiatives, ensuring alignment, clarity, and quality execution across multiple teams.
  • Mentor and elevate. You'll raise the bar for engineering excellence by mentoring developers, sharing knowledge, and helping teams adopt best practices.
  • Own execution and delivery. You'll play a key role in getting high-impact initiatives delivered — hands-on in the code when needed, and always driving toward outcomes.

Who are you?

  • 8+ years of experience in fullstack development, with deep expertise in technologies like Node.js, React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS, and responsive design.
  • Cloud-native expertise with at least one major provider — AWS is a big plus.
  • Experience with the latest AI tools for development - Cursor / Loveable / Base44 etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Snowflake and event-driven architectures.
  • Proven impact as a senior or staff engineer — driving architecture, influencing product decisions, and leading technical initiatives across teams.
  • Strong systems thinking — designing, building, and scaling distributed systems that are resilient, performant, and maintainable.
  • Excellent communication skills — you’re as comfortable discussing roadmap with product managers as you are mentoring engineers or reviewing code.

It’d be really cool if you also have:

  • Have experience with creating products based on LLMs and AI
  • Experience with building data pipelines in high scale and throughput products
  • Experience with micro-frontends
  • Have experience with writing in Python
