Marketing Content Manager

Santa Clara

Forward Networks is transforming how the world’s most complex networks are managed and secured. Founded in 2013 by four Stanford Ph.D.s, we built the industry’s first network digital twin — a mathematically precise model of the production network that gives IT teams unmatched visibility, verification, and agility across every major cloud and vendor environment.

Our customers include global leaders such as Goldman Sachs, PayPal, S&P Global, IBM, and Dell, as well as fast-growing enterprises and government agencies. According to IDC, Forward Networks customers realize an average of $14.2 million in annual benefits through improved efficiency and security.

Backed by world-class investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, MSD Partners, and Threshold Ventures, Forward Networks offers a people-centric, innovative culture where brilliant minds are shaping the future of network reliability, security, and AI-ready operations.

We're looking for a talented and versatile Marketing Content Manager to be the primary voice behind Forward Networks' brand. You'll own the end-to-end content lifecycle — from crafting sharp website copy and compelling ad creative to producing thought leadership blogs and high-converting email campaigns. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a writer who thrives in a technical environment and knows how to make complex ideas land clearly and compellingly.

Key Responsibilities

Website Copy

  • Own and continuously optimize all copy across forwardnetworks.com, including homepage, product pages, solution pages, and landing pages.
  • Partner with design and web teams to craft messaging that converts visitors into pipeline.
  • Conduct SEO research and incorporate keywords naturally to drive organic traffic.
  • Keep copy up to date as products evolve, new features launch, and positioning shifts.

Advertising & Paid Media

  • Write compelling ad copy for paid search (Google Ads), LinkedIn, display, and retargeting campaigns.
  • Develop multiple creative variants for A/B testing; analyze results and iterate quickly.
  • Partner with demand generation to align ad messaging with campaign themes and funnel stage.
  • Ensure consistency of voice and messaging across all paid channels.

Email Marketing Campaigns

  • Write all email copy for nurture sequences, product announcements, event promotions, and newsletters.
  • Craft subject lines and preview text that drive strong open rates.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations to segment audiences and personalize messaging.
  • Monitor email performance (open rates, CTRs, conversions) and use data to sharpen future copy.

Blog & Thought Leadership

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for the Forward Networks blog, aligning with product launches, industry trends, and SEO goals.
  • Write and edit long-form posts on topics including network digital twins, AI-driven network management, cybersecurity, and multi-cloud operations.
  • Interview internal SMEs (engineers, product managers, executives) to surface insights and translate technical depth into accessible narratives.
  • Source, brief, and edit contributions from guest authors and industry analysts.

Additional Content & Collateral

  • Write copy for sales enablement materials including one-pagers, pitch decks, battlecards, and case study summaries.
  • Contribute messaging to event materials, conference presentations, and webinar content.
  • Support social media content strategy with copy for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and other channels.
  • Develop customer-facing release notes, product announcements, and in-app messaging as needed.

Brand Voice & Content Strategy

  • Serve as the guardian of Forward Networks' brand voice — ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across every channel.
  • Build and maintain a company style guide and messaging framework.
  • Stay current on competitive messaging, industry language, and emerging trends in enterprise networking and cybersecurity.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Design, and Sales to ensure alignment across all content.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of B2B content marketing or copywriting experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS or cybersecurity/networking.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills — you can write a punchy headline and a 2,000-word technical blog with equal confidence.
  • Demonstrated experience writing across multiple formats: web copy, email, ads, long-form content, and sales materials.
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with design, product marketing, and demand gen teams.
  • Comfort using analytics to measure content performance and inform strategy.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with networking, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience with SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, Clearscope, or similar).
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot).
  • Background writing for technical audiences including network engineers, IT leaders, or CISOs.
  • Content design/layout skills in Adobe Creative Cloud product suite.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and equity in a high-growth, Series D company.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Flexible hybrid work environment based out of Santa Clara, CA.
  • Opportunity to own and shape the brand voice of a category-defining platform.
  • A collaborative, low-ego team that values craft, curiosity, and clear thinking.
  • Regular exposure to cutting-edge technology and a customer base that includes some of the world's largest enterprises.

Base Salary Range: $140,000 – $190,000 per year

This range represents the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including location, candidate experience, skills, and level. In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for equity and benefits.

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
