The IT Support Engineer responsibilities include prioritizing user requirements, overseeing system upgrades/changes/implementation, researching new tools and leveraging those tools and solutions to meet organizational needs. In this role, you should be highly analytical and able to understand business needs. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage Helpdesk queues to resolve all personnel IT inquiries and communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements
  • Prioritize IT concerns and escalate serious issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Avoid services interruptions by performing system installations, updates and maintenance procedures
  • Prepare efficient IT training documentation to meet users and technology support needs
  • Document IT processes and maintain service desk records
  • Integrate multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams
  • Gather feedback from end users about system performance
  • Plan and oversee projects (e.g. upgrades, hardware/software installations)
  • Provide advice and technical training to users across the organization
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure IT needs are met.
  • Keep abreast of technology trends and developments



Who you are:

  • Mac Proficiency: Troubleshooting skills for macOS systems are required.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills are critical, as this role involves daily interaction with our team in India and internal end-users.
  • Proactive Attitude: We need a self-starter who can take initiative and tackle assigned projects with minimal supervision.
  • Growth Potential: Opportunity for career growth within the IT department 
  • Onsite Requirement: Ideal candidate will need to be onsite at least 4 days per week in our Chicago office.
  • Google Workspace: Knowledge of Google Workspace is a significant plus.
