About this opportunity:

At Freenome, we are seeking a Director of Sales Operations and Analytics to join our commercial team.  In this role, you will be a pivotal player in shaping the future of our commercial operations infrastructure.  As we gear up for the launch of our first clinical product, we are seeking a leader to build and optimize our sales operations and analytics from the ground up. This is a unique chance to make a significant impact in a company that is poised to transform the cancer screening landscape.

The role reports to the Senior Director, Market Insights and Planning. This role will be a Hybrid role based in our Brisbane, California headquarters (2-3 days per week in office).

What you’ll do:

  • CRM Leadership: Act as the sales business owner of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, determining the essential features and tools our sales team requires to thrive as an effective sales force.
  • Targeting Strategy: Develop and implement a targeting strategy to identify key physicians and accounts for our sales team to engage with, ensuring our efforts are focused and effective.
  • Salesforce Size and Structure: Design the size and structure of our future field teams, including the strategic placement of representatives across the US to maximize coverage and market penetration.
  • Incentive Compensation: PartnerIn collaboration with our Total Rewards team and other key stakeholders to compensative committee, create a compelling incentive compensation plan that motivates our sales team and aligns with our company's goals and values.
  • Analytics and Dashboards: Establish robust sales analytics and dashboards to provide actionable insights, track performance, and drive sales strategy.
  • Sales Training & Compliance: In collaboration with a future learning and development leader, sales leadership and our compliance team, ensure the sales team is trained on how to use sales operations tools and resources, such as the CRM, target lists and future sales dashboards
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales leadership, marketing, market access, and cross-functional teams such as business applications, compliance, and program management to align sales operations with broader company objectives.

Must haves:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in an analytical or operational role, with at least 5 years dedicated to Sales Operations and Analytics.
  • At least 2-3 years of leadership experience within Sales Operations and Analytics.
  • Proven track record in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or diagnostics industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale sales operations infrastructure effectively.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with various internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with secondary data, such as claims data, to develop target lists. 
  • Experience managing external consultants to deliver sales operations analyses. 
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to drive strategic direction and roll up sleeves to deliver tactics.
  • Experience working directly with commercial leadership, particularly sales leadership and compliance.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with CRM implementation and optimization.
  • Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the latest sales operations technologies and methodologies.
  • A history of successful cross-functional project management.
  • A strong understanding of compliance as it relates to sales operations.
  • Sales Operations experience in a centralized diagnostics laboratory with a provider facing field force.

Benefits and additional information:

The US target range of our base salary/hourly rate for new hires is $188,275 - $288,500. You will also be eligible to receive pre-IPO equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered.  Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
