Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

At FREENOW, data is at the heart of every decision. To strengthen our Product Data Team, we’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (m/f/d) who is passionate about turning data into clear insights that drive product and business impact.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include
- Designing, building, and maintaining analytics-ready data models that serve as the foundation for reporting, experimentation, and product insights
- Partnering with Analytics Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product teams to define business logic, metrics, and data contracts within a Data Mesh environment
- Translating business requirements into robust, scalable SQL-based transformations in Databricks
- Owning and maintaining the semantic layer and KPI definitions, ensuring consistency and trust across dashboards and downstream consumers
- Implementing data quality checks, monitoring, and validation frameworks to ensure accuracy, freshness, and reliability of data products
- Supporting self-service analytics by creating well-documented, discoverable datasets and curated BI data sources
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure correct event tracking and data capture aligned with analytical needs
- Troubleshooting data issues end-to-end, from raw ingestion to BI consumption
- Continuously improving performance, maintainability, and usability of analytical datasets

To Be Successful in This Role
- You have strong experience in an analytics engineering, BI engineering, or technical BI analyst role
- You are an expert in SQL & Python and comfortable working with large, complex datasets
- You have hands-on experience building data transformations, analytical models, and metric layers
- You are comfortable working close to the data platform and data pipelines, even if you are not a pure Data Engineer
- You understand event-based data modeling and product analytics concepts
- You value clean abstractions, documentation, and reproducible data logic
- You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You are fluent in English
