2027 Investment Team Summer Analyst - Financial Services

General Atlantic’s Analysts are the foundation of our deal teams. We encourage them to bring an ambitious mindset as they gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle. Our summer program serves as the training ground and main source of talent for the Fulltime Analyst Program. We are looking for a summer analyst to join the Financial Services team.

About Financial Services: The Financial Services team has a track record of investing in leading FinTech and Financial Services companies across digital payments, financial software, consumer FinTech, and traditional financial services. Current and former companies in the team's global portfolio include Chime, Adyen, DLocal, Ant Financial, PhonePe, EngageSmart, Kyriba, Tripleseat and Creative Planning, among many others.

As a Summer Analyst on the Financial Services team, you will work closely to support new investment opportunities by prospecting, conducting thematic research and supporting due diligence and deal execution efforts across the Financial Services universe. In this role, you will:

  • Learn how analysts develop investment theses and industry expertise through research, conversations with industry experts, market mapping, and due diligence on specific investment targets
  • Gain hands-on deal sourcing experience and interact directly with entrepreneurs and executives at prospect companies
  • Gain exposure to various due diligence work streams, including customer analysis, financial analysis, valuation, and financial modeling.
  • Present a company / industry deep dive at the end of your summer

What To Expect

The Investment Areas Summer Analyst program will be based in GA’s New York office and will span 10 weeks, beginning in June 2027. As a Summer Analyst, you can expect:

  • Exposure to Growth Investing across Financial Services and other related sectors
  • Engagement with Entrepreneurs at leading growth companies
  • Exposure to broader growth investing concepts through Lunch & Learn series with a range of GA senior professionals
  • Introductory Training
  • Formal mentorship program with Investment Team Fulltime Analysts
  • 1:1 Check-Ins with your Deal Team

 Student Graduating In December 2027 Or Spring 2028 Are Invited To Apply If You:

  • Are currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution in the US;
  • Have a proven track record of achievement in academic, leadership, and other settings;
  • Have a global mindset and an interest in collaborating with colleagues across GA offices;
  • Have an interest in growth equity and a desire to represent the firm in conversations with founders and entrepreneurs;
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and are willing to go the extra mile;

Upon successful completion of your internship, you will receive first consideration for a role in the 2028 Fulltime Analyst Program. General Atlantic allows you to earn a rate of $4,580 per pay period.
