Who You Are:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Procurement to support our rapidly scaling Data Center Operations team. This role is critical to managing the sourcing, supply chains, negotiation, and vendor relationship functions for capital equipment, critical infrastructure, and services that power our hyperscale data centers. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-growth, complex environments, and a track record of successful supplier/vendor management, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support data center growth and operational goals while ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Manage the full procurement process / lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Engage with leaders across the Data Center team to understand key problems and issues impacting the business.
  • Influence key stakeholders taking feedback and gaining alignment on proposed direction and plans
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance alignment, contract compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for high-value agreements related to infrastructure equipment, construction services, maintenance, and support contracts.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams to align procurement activities with technical specifications, budget goals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and scale the Data Center infrastructure supply chain capabilities
  • Maintain a broad understanding of industry and supply chain external developments to enable Galaxy to leverage best practices, market intelligence, supplier data, and industry benchmarks to identify sourcing opportunities, cost drivers, and negotiation levers.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks related to supply chain continuity, supplier performance, and contractual obligations.
  • Drive procurement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency, compliance, and transparency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Project Management, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years supporting hyperscale or mission-critical infrastructure (e.g., data centers, energy, utilities).
  • OFCI Procurement/Management Experience
  • Proven success in supplier relationship management and negotiation of large-scale agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, including RFP/RFQ development, contract lifecycle management, and supplier performance metrics.
  • 5+ years of Contract Review/Management Experience
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.

Base Salary Range

$170,000 - $250,000 USD
