The role:
As a Business Development, you will be part of the Galileo team, reporting to the Manager of Business Development, offering payment and digital banking solutions to cross-functional C-suite leaders at fintechs, and banks as well as helping us expand our footprint into other verticals for payments processing.
The role requires knowledge and understanding of the Galileo products, platform, fintech, and other industries. The role requires a self-starter who can, proactively, generate leads to shepherd through the sales cycle; prospecting, creating preference, and closing deals by working in a highly complex, consultative selling environment. This role requires a self-starter who will be able to fulfill our enterprise selling approach - from prospecting and cold calling to preparing presentation materials for your final round of meetings.
The right candidate has excellent presentation and pitching experience, proven success in prior sales roles, and is comfortable calling on high-level corporate leaders. Ideally, candidates will have experience working with prospects/clients in human resources, compensation and benefits, and/or total rewards, as well as an understanding of FinTech and other markets. The key to success in this role is a relentless drive to identify, pursue, and close new partnerships against established metrics and comfortably articulate Galileo’s value proposition.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct virtual and in-person prospecting meetings to C-level individuals with companies desiring to offer financial services products
- Manage all aspects of selling Galileo's Fintech platform solution
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Engage in consultative payments selling solutions on the phone and in person
- Understanding of the disruptive changes Fintech is undergoing and passion to make an impact in growing and developing Galileo's service business.
- Ability to evangelize new payment products and technologies and speak fluidly to positively influence highly technical and non-technical decision-makers
- Experience in structuring and negotiating business and technical terms to close with strategic partners
- Excellent judgment, presence and mature personality; experience working with executives
- Successfully navigate Fintech landscape to identify key decision makers and negotiate deal terms to close
What you’ll need:
- 10+ years sales experience; payments/FinTech industry is strongly preferred
- Strong executive presence combined with some technical understanding in payments
- Flawless communication skills. We are looking for a natural networker who can quickly build upon existing relationships
- Proven ability to transform strategy into action and drive results through others
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding all sales goals
US-Based Base Compensation
$120,000 - $206,250 USD
