Senior Research Analyst
Build the research foundation that guides our AI strategy.
As a senior research analyst at Gallup, you’ll generate the intelligence, analysis and synthesis that inform what we build, where we invest and how we compete. This is a high-agency role for a researcher who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative without waiting for direction, and is deeply passionate about the present and future of AI.
In this role as the AI team's primary analytical and intelligence partner, you'll decide where your research creates the most value on any given week. That could mean tracking the AI landscape in real time, analyzing how people use the tools we build, studying what competitors are doing and why it matters, or presenting recommendations that leadership acts on. Your work won’t sit in a slide deck. It will directly shape product and data strategies and inform key investment decisions.
If you want your work with AI to shape the future of a leading global research organization, apply today.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor the AI landscape by tracking emerging models, capabilities, tools and market shifts
- Assess what new developments in AI mean for Gallup and deliver clear briefings to the Head of AI and senior leadership
- Analyze prototype usage data and behavioral patterns to identify what’s working, what isn’t and what the team should build next
- Evaluate financial implications and business trade-offs associated with AI investments and initiatives
- Conduct competitive intelligence across the employee engagement and HR technology space to identify opportunities, threats and differentiation
- Apply advanced statistical modeling techniques, including regression, predictive modeling, experimental analysis and SQL-based data modeling, and leverage machine learning concepts to evaluate AI tools and inform strategic decisions
- Synthesize complex data and research into clear written reports and executive-ready presentations for internal audiences
- Connect insights across Gallup’s data ecosystem, product analytics, competitive research and AI developments to create actionable recommendations
- Design and maintain research tracking frameworks and intelligence repositories that increase the team’s long-term effectiveness
What Makes You Stand Out
- Strategic synthesis: You connect disparate data sources, surface underlying patterns and possibilities others might miss, and translate complex insights into clear, actionable steps.
- Deep analytical rigor: You are comfortable conducting advanced quantitative analysis and equally skilled at qualitative research and structured reasoning.
- AI conviction: You are genuinely invested in the transformative potential of AI. Your curiosity is obvious, and you can distinguish meaningful innovation from hype.
- Startup drive: You thrive in fast-moving, high-impact environments where experimentation and iteration fuel progress.
- High initiative: You adjust as priorities evolve. You identify what needs to be done, move it forward and take ownership for outcomes.
- Clear communication: You distill complex findings into precise written and verbal communication that informs decisions at multiple levels of the organization.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, economics, behavioral science, business analytics or a closely related quantitative field required
- At least four years of professional experience in research, analytics, competitive intelligence or strategic analysis roles required
- Strong quantitative skills including SQL, product analytics platforms and data visualization required
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and the current AI landscape required
- Experience presenting research findings and recommendations to senior leaders required
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple research domains simultaneously and prioritize based on business impact required
