Infrastructure Support Intern

Garda Capital Partners (Garda) is a multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm with over 22 years of experience deploying relative value strategies across fixed income markets for institutional investors. Garda's primary offices are located in Wayzata, New York City, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Zug, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Scottsdale.

Garda is looking to hire an Infrastructure Engineering Intern to be a part of our Infrastructure team based out of our Wayzata office, in Summer 2026. This is an exciting position offering opportunities to gain hands-on exposure to enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and mission-critical systems at a global hedge fund.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist with Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform/OpenTofu and CloudFormation
• Support cloud infrastructure projects across AWS and Azure environments
• Work with senior team members and managed service providers to support on-premise server infrastructure
• Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and availability of trading systems
• Participate in backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure documentation efforts
• Support physical infrastructure including audiovisual systems and access control
• Assist with front-office and enterprise infrastructure support initiatives

Qualifications & Desired Skills

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) or strong interest in learning
• Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
• Interest in infrastructure automation, DevOps, and cloud technologies
• Basic understanding of networking and operating systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time-sensitive team environment
