Summary

GCM Grosvenor is seeking an experienced graphic designer to help drive and uphold the firm’s visual identity and brand integrity across a wide range of client-facing materials. This role will support the promotion of the firm, its investment capabilities, sponsored events, and corporate citizenship initiatives through impactful, high-quality design.  

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated creative professional with excellent time management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong attention to detail. They are energized by working alongside thoughtful colleagues in a high-performing organization focused on excellence. A naturally collaborative team player, they will take a proactive approach to problem-solving and brand consistency and bring a strong sense of ownership to their work.

This person will pair their experience in design with the technical and organizational skills required to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced professional setting. In addition to designing high-quality visual assets, the right candidate will take the lead in developing, maintaining, and communicating the firm’s design standards. They will also serve as a brand advocate, emphasizing the importance of strong visual identity across the firm.

This person will work directly with the Brand and Communications team. Specific responsibilities include:

Creative strategy

  • Elevate the visual identity in line with firm branding
  • Build and manage a library of photo imagery, graphics, icons, and other elements for use across various deliverables

Desktop publishing

  • Design and layout brochures and booklets for firmwide use, such as standard 2-page GCM Grosvenor brochure, and strategy specific content
  • Design and layout long-form pieces such as reports, whitepapers, and investment focused thought pieces with a heavy emphasis on data visualization
  • Maximize document format and layout for media and usage (e.g., on-screen vs. print)

Website / social media

  • Apply creative strategy to design webpage layouts that are responsive and optimized for different devices and resolutions, and in line with ADA accessibility standards
  • Create and manage visual elements including photos, icons, graphs/charts, infographics, and others
  • Design banners, hero images, and other graphics to enhance existing pages
  • Create assets/imagery for use on LinkedIn

 Event support

  • Develop visual identity and branded assets for various GCM Grosvenor-hosted events
  • Create event-related assets for digital use such as email, website, and PowerPoint
  • Develop and create print materials such as large form signage, backdrops, and printed materials (brochures, cards, etc.)
  • Create sponsored ads for corporate citizen support and sponsored conferences for 100+ events each year

 

Specific education, skills or experience we are seeking:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field required
  • 4+ years’ graphic design experience in B2B setting required (financial or professional services experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to implement feedback and changes efficiently is required
  • Experience converting data into impactful visuals strongly preferred
  • Ability to work in PC environment is required
  • Experience creating materials in proper file formats and sizes for various media (print, screen, email, etc.) required
  • Figma experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and other Microsoft programs strongly preferred

 

Hours Expected: Average 30-40 hours per week (based on project needs)

Location: Chicago/remote
