Analyst, Brazil
Position Summary
General Atlantic is looking to hire an entrepreneurial-spirited Analyst to support the São Paulo team.
This role will have exposure to all parts of the investment process, from sourcing investment opportunities, to conducting initial diligence and presenting to the Investment Committee, as well as supporting the value creation initiatives in GA’s portfolio, playing an important role in the firm’s growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Building financial models and performing various financial analysis to support investment due diligence and portfolio value creation
- Drafting investment memoranda and presentation to present to General Atlantic’s investment committee
- Working with MDs/VPs and management teams to support GA portfolio companies
- Assisting in research and identification of investment themes and potential targets through in-depth industry research
- Perform deep proprietary research through calls with industry contacts, consultants, and other relevant parties
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required
- 2-3 years of relevant experience strongly preferred (e.g. Investment Banking, Private Equity and/or Alternative Asset Management preferred.)
- Passionate about discovering interesting transformational up-and-coming high-growth companies
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Superior financial modeling skills (ability to create and manipulate complex financial models with minimum guidance)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Proactive, entrepreneurial attitude with eagerness to take on special projects
- Strong analytical abilities, creativity, thoughtful business judgment and professional maturity
- Record of outstanding professional and academic achievement
- High energy level, strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for investing
- Desire to collaborate with colleagues throughout the firm globally
