Position Summary

General Atlantic’s Capital Solutions team is focused on marketing the firm’s global investment strategies to institutional and private wealth investors worldwide. The Capital Solutions team manages all aspects of client coverage and the fundraising process by building relationships with both current and prospective investors.  Within the Private Wealth Capital Solutions team, the Private Wealth Product Development & Management function is responsible for designing, structuring, launching, and managing new product solutions primarily tailored for private wealth channel distribution, including via private banks, wirehouses, RIAs, and other intermediary platforms.

General Atlantic is seeking a high-caliber Associate or Senior Associate to join its Private Wealth Product Development & Management team in New York. This role will support the full product lifecycle for General Atlantic’s private wealth offerings, including strategy and fund product design, competitor product analysis and reporting, ongoing product management, and client-facing reporting.  The role will work closely with Capital Solutions senior leadership as well as colleagues across General Atlantic’s private wealth client coverage, investment teams, finance, legal and compliance, operations, and marketing to help develop and deliver institutional-quality products, marketing materials, and analytics to private wealth investors.

Responsibilities

The candidate will have a diverse set of product development and management responsibilities, including:

  • Supporting product strategy, design, and structuring for private wealth channel delivery by working across General Atlantic’s organization to help design evergreen product vehicles and terms based on strategy, target client base, wealth platform requirements, and competitive intelligence
  • Helping coordinate and manage cross-functional product working groups – including product, sales, operations, tax, legal and compliance, finance, client services, technology, and marketing – to drive end-to-end product development, manage workstreams and timelines, and ensure smooth execution of product launches and post-launch processes
  • Prepare and maintain marketing materials and content for client delivery, including fund marketing materials, portfolio and performance updates as well as market and strategy commentary tailored to private wealth audiences
  • Analyze market intelligence and competitor offerings to assist in the identification of opportunities for new wealth product development, helping shape private wealth product strategy and execution
  • Collect and maintain competitive intelligence on fundraising, product structures and terms, and market positioning, while synthesizing information into clear recommendations on product design, execution, and differentiation
  • Develop and maintain high-quality product marketing and due diligence materials, including pitchbooks, product profiles, fact sheets, case studies, portfolio updates, and platform-specific content for private banks, wirehouses, RIAs, and other wealth platform intermediaries
  • Support wealth platform due diligence processes by serving as a key coordinator of RFPs, DDQs, RFIs, and related questionnaires as well as ad hoc information requests, and by liaising with colleagues across General Atlantic’s functional groups
  • Contribute to ongoing product management, governance, and reporting by supporting recurring and ad hoc product communications, helping ensure alignment with regulatory and platform requirements, and assisting in the development of thought leadership and marketing content that showcases General Atlantic’s strategies and market views

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; progress toward CFA and/or CAIA charters preferred
  • 3–6+ years of relevant experience in private market investment product management, wealth product development; experience at an alternative asset manager and/or private wealth alts platform is strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of private markets and alternative investment strategies, including familiarity with private equity, infrastructure and/or private credit, and fund vehicle structures (e.g., closed-end drawdown funds, evergreen/registered structures, interval funds, BDCs, REITs, feeders/access funds)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investment and structural concepts into clear, concise, investor-ready materials
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including a strong skill set working with performance data, portfolio analytics, and large data sets in Excel
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across sales, investment, finance, legal and compliance, operations, and marketing, as well as with external partners
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and data room platforms (e.g., Intralinks, Datasite) is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a collaborative and transparent mindset

General Atlantic offers a robust reward program to all employees that will support you and your family, maintaining fulfilling, secure and healthy lives now and into the future, which includes but is not limited to medical insurance, retirement savings contributions, mental and physical health resources and an equal pay program that allows you to earn a base salary of $135,000 – 190,000 of which the exact amount offered will be driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience.  Additional reward programs, such as annual discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive programs, are available for eligible employees and are offered as recognition for performance and one’s contributions towards the organization’s success.
