Position Summary
General Atlantic (“GA”) is seeking an Associate to support its Compensation and Human Capital Analytics function. Reporting to the Compensation & Analytics Lead, this role will partner closely with the Human Capital Management (“HCM”) team across a range of internal priorities, including compensation planning, headcount reporting, budget forecasting, and broader human capital metrics and initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a strong data orientation, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to clearly communicate key insights to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Compensation
- Provide end-to-end support for compensation planning cycles, inclusive of modeling, analysis, communication and administration
- Liaise with Finance on annual and quarterly headcount and compensation budgeting and accruals
- Partner with the Recruiting team to develop new hire offer packages
- Prepare materials for Compensation Committee meetings
- Conduct benchmarking analyses to ensure market competitiveness of GA's compensation programs
- Prepare compensation reports, metrics and analyses to support compensation decisions as needed
- Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to solve compensation issues and/or address any compensation needs
- Enhance tools and communication materials to effectively educate employees and managers on all compensation programs
- Support special compensation projects and initiatives
Data & Analytics
- Prepare regular reporting for internal HCM and external stakeholders as well as ad-hoc requests as needed
- Develop and automate dashboards and other analytical tools to enhance reporting
- Deliver data-driven insights to HR business partners across the employee lifecycle
- Partner with IR/Capital Raising, Finance and Legal for ongoing requests, reporting and data management
- Collaborate with other HCM functional areas to ensure data integrity with Workday and other HCM systems
- Support strategic projects and initiatives to support GA's growth
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Compensation, FP&A or consulting, preferably within Financial Services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner effectively across teams and geographies
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, nested formulas, conditional logic; experience with macros/VBA is a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred
- Familiarity with HRIS and planning systems such as Workday or Anaplan preferred
- Exposure to automation tools and techniques (e.g., VBA, macros) is a plus
- Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data analysis and reporting
