JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Procurement Specialist role is integral to the on-time delivery of compliant materials for Operations. This role supports the day to day purchasing of materials and management of vendors by working with internal stakeholders and managing external relationships. These activities are performed in accordance with cGMP guidelines and departmental and inter-departmental policies and standard operating procedures. The Sourcing and Procurement Supervisor will lead and develop a team of Procurement Specialists, operating efficiently to ensure material availability while reducing inventory costs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage GMP procurement of materials
- Review historical trends on GMP inventory and take necessary actions to maximize spending efficiency and minimize risk of stockout.
- Oversee Supplier freight and expedite costs.
- Select and manage performance of vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery data. Maintain relationships with said vendors.
- Manage Vendor Change Notification process, ensuring receipt, communication, cross-functional assessment and action is taken prior to receiving post-change materials.
- Coordinate Supplier Corrective Action Request and communicate feedback.
- Maintain Item Master Data in Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Meet with internal customers to assess needs and create forecasts.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Finance, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Planning/Scheduling and Warehouse.
