Position: Gene Biotechnologist (Trouble Shooting and Order Management)
Location: Singapore
Job Responsibilities:
- Design order: Develop a reasonable production plan based on customer orders.
- Manage order tracking: Manage customer orders throughout the entire production lifecycle to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Increase success rate: Able to read literature, design test plans, and solve gene synthesis production abnormalities; Able to communicate with R&D and production team from China, helping to transfer the technology from China to production team in Singapore.
- Trouble shooting: PCR exceptions, linearization exceptions, rolling exceptions, bacterial inspection exceptions, extraction exceptions, sequencing exceptions, QC exceptions, etc.
- Analyze data: Analyze production data, provide improvement plans, and support the CVD department to achieve goals.
- Analyze the sequencing results and provide a plan: First, Second, and Third-generation sequencing results can be analyzed for cloning and template transformation (vectors, plasmids).
- Perform root cause analysis and reasonable plans for incorrect sequencing results.
- Designing schemes for different cloning methods such as recombination, annealing, chain reaction, and restriction enzyme recombination.
Qualification:
- Master's degree or above in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Experience in troubleshooting abnormal cloning results and performing root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of gene synthesis production workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and exception-handling skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and a strong team player with excellent learning agility and professional ethics.
- Available to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with 2 rest days that may not always fall on weekends.
